NCRCO CONSTITUTION / BY-LAWS

ARTICLE VII - VACANCIES

Each elected Officer and Regional Director position shall be deemed vacant in the following cases:

  • by the death of the incumbent;
  • by his or her resignation;
  • by he or her leaving County Elected or appointed office for any reason;
  • by he or her ceasing to be an inhabitant of the county from which they were elected or appointed;
  • by his or her refusal to accept the office.
  • by he or her no longer being a registered Republican.

In the event a vacancy occurs after a duly held election, and prior to the next Annual Business Meeting of the NCRCO election cycle, the President shall appoint a qualified successor from the membership to complete the unexpired term, with confirmation by the NCRCO Board of Directors (or leave the position vacant), except that the Vice President will automatically succeed to the Presidency as stated within Article VI.
